Google

Today, Google is the largest search engine in the world where people from all over can share the pool ofknowledge in thr internet by a few simple clicks. It all began in 1996 when two students from Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, worked on their research  project. At first, the project was meant to serve a software to assist users in retrieving information, but it soon became much more than that.

The Internet at that time allowed millions of people to gain access to it. With all the information the Internet provided, it was like a messy shelf full of books. Page and Brin realized that the web pages with the most links to them from other pages were more relevant for the search. This is how they eventually proritized Google searches.

Today, you will often hear people say It’s alright, I will just Google it. This is because it has proven to be the fastest way to search for information. The corporation has since diversified to more than just a search engine. It has become one of the more profitaable corporations in the world.

Food for Thought :

Easy eccess to information is important as it creates business opportunities while providing convenience to people at large.
