About 4,000 years ago, an Egyptian ship carrying baking soda sailed in the
Mediterranean Sea. The hot and humid weather was not suitable for the soda as a
small mistake could make the soda redundant.
Once the ship was fixed, the crew started to pack everthing and prepared to
continue sailing. As they were doing so, they found something shiny on the
shore where they had prepared their food. They were puzzled about these shiny
items and decided to brig them back to Egypt. Upon arriving in Egypt, they
asked some experienced craftsmen to examine the item. After listening to what
had happened at the shore, one of the craftsmen tried to mix the soda and sand
together and melted these elements at a high temperature. Once the mixture had
cooled down, it became glass.
Food for Thought :
Inventions are not difficult
at all. One has to be more observant. With a creative imagination. Great ideas
can arise in crating new products or services.
