Tissue Paper

Almost a hundred years ago in the early twentieth century, an American company named Scott Paper bought a large supply of paper. Due to mistake that occurred during  transportation, the paper could not be used as it was wet and had wrinkles on it.

With a warehouse full of useless paper, everyone in the company had no idea as to how to solve the problem and was worried. During a meeting, someone proposed to return the paper back to the supplier to reduce the loss incurred and almost everyone agreed with the suggestion except for one.

The head of the company, Mr Arthur Scott, did not agree. He wanted insted to make holes on the paper roll to make it easier for it to be torn into small pieces. This is what we now have and used the toilet roll. Scott named this paper as Sani-Towels. He then sold these rolls to railway stations, restaurants, schools and other places to be used in the toilet. Due to its convenience and usefulness, many people and families have since started using it.

It has since brought high profit for the company and it has become something that people cannot live without. Tissue papers are now available in different varieties to bring convenience to one’s life.
