Since the early Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period of
China, helmets were already in existence. As weapons became more advanced, so
did the materials that were used in producing modern military helmets.ard about
this.
In 1914, General Adrian went to a hospital to visit soldiers that were
injured during the war. One soldier who was hit told him, I was in the kitchenpreparing a meal when the German soldiers fired at
us, I held tight to a wok to shield my head. Many were shot dead, but I escaped
with only a few scratches.
Adrian was pleased when he heard about this. He summoned a soldier
immediately to look for that broken wok. He then formed a special task force
and created the modern combat helmet named the Adrian Helmet. The helmet helped
reduce between 2 to 5% of casualties in subsequent wars.
The modern helmet not only protects against bomb fragments, but also agains
weather, chemical weapons, earthquakes and other natural or man made disasters.
