1. Never give up. A quitter never
wins, a winner never quits. Accept the result with an open heart. Cry if you
need to as it will help to reduce you burden of frustration.
2. Get to work. Learn from exam.
Analyse your areas of weakness and take steps to overcome them. Make an
appointment to see the lecturer of subject and get advice. If possible, try to
ask for remedial classes from him or her.
3. Identify friends who fail the
same exam and make plans to discuss the subject in the group to ensure that you
have a good support mentally and academically.
4. Identify your not-so-good
habits that lead to the failure. Do not hesitate to ask opinions from close
friends. Correct these habits.
5. Identify the time wasters that
lead to reduction in your studying time. Do not repeat these time-wasting
habits and avoid time-wasting activities.
6. Get your parents to pray for
you. Increase your submission to God and do more God-favoured activities.
7. For the Muslims, try to
increase the quality of your prayer in terms of promptness and doing it in a
group (jamaah).
8. Avoid missing lectures in your
effort of trying to study in the library for the repeat exam. Missing a single
lecture will take hours of study to acquire the same knowledge.
9. Involve more in discussions
and practice more past year questions in
order to increase your Output Learning.
10. Have a healthy mindset
towards failing an exam. It is not a failure but a delayed success. You will get more knowledge
of the subject that you have to repeat.
Some of my friends became specialists in the
field that they failed badly during medical school because the more they
studied for the repeat paper, the more interested they were in the subject.
