(Wait a minute, ICT and….)

(Yeah, yeah….software, hardware, wear and tear)

(As I was saying, ICT and the internet,

They can do the job just as well.)

But teaching is more than a job!

(It’s an art inspired by the human heart)

It’s a profession, a dream, a calling….

It’s got dignity, it’s got style!

(Oh, come on, teaching?)

Well, it’s not glitzy or glamorous

And as for the money….pooh!

(Come on lah, you know what the people say)

(Teachers, ag, they get too many holidays!)

How preposterous!

When teachers give homework

A teacher’s day is never done!

(Marking, test papers, preparation, thinking skills,

Eclectic, Multiple Intelligences, ICT!)

(Prepare them for the REAL world!)

What a tall order!

For those who still gripe about teachers’ time off-

Come on, give us a break!

For we are a happy lot!

Teaching is our choice

We believe in our profession

We believe in ourselves!

Though our core business is to teach

We can multi-task!

Versatility, our hallmark

Facing challenges, our trademark!

So, we coach, we nurse, we TEACH

We chauffeur, we comfort, we TEACH!

We guide, we parent, we TEACH!

So clever!
